Focus Cayo Disc

Performance and professional quality come in an affordable package in the FOCUS Cayo. There’s no better choice for gran fondos, sportives, and weekend racing events. It’s equipped with disc brakes, which provide strong braking power and perpetual control under every weather condition. There’s no mistaking the FOCUS lineage in the sporty lines of the Cayo. A compliant carbon frame lets you go further and faster for longer.

The Cayo frame comes with custom diameters for each frame size. This offers an optimal ratio of weight to stiffness without sacrificing comfort. Focus Rapid Thru Axle Technology offers superb stiffness values. The inner installation of the cables is achieved by a removable plate, which is mounted on the front of the head tube. So the cables are routed optimally and clean in the frame and are protected from dirt and water. The filigree seat stays and the new CPX Plus Carbon seatpost improve the comfort through better compensation of impacts. The rider is less strongly shaken and may remain longer symptom-free in the saddle. The head tube is tapered what the increases the headtube stiffness, giving you a secure feeling in corners and at top speed. The Pressfit30 bottom bracket in conjunction with the large connection-area to frame the force of the rider is transmit almost lossless into propulsion.

To offer a selection of sizes without compromising on quality, the FOCUS engineers individually design each frame size. So every version offers the optimum weight-to-stiffness ratio.

The cables and hydraulic lines are routed inside the frame for protection, which extends their life and ensures flawless shifting every time.

For disc brake bikes in the road and cyclocross segment, the FOCUS engineers have developed the first thru axle system that combines greater strength and lateral stiffness with the fastest wheel-change system ever.

The tapered headtube reduces the steering weight while increasing the headset stiffness.

The FOCUS full-carbon fork, including the dropouts, is made seamlessly from a single piece. It offers even higher lateral stiffness coupled with good absorption of impacts with the road surface.
